Celebrate SNAICC's National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children's Day with us at VACCA!

Children's Day is an important opportunity to celebrate our children and the vital role they play within our Community.

This year we have a range of exciting events planned, all focused on the 2019 theme 'We play, We learn, We belong'.

Come celebrate with us at our Gippsland VACCA Children's Day event!

When: 10am - 12:30pm Friday, 2nd August, 2019

Where: Tribes, 107 - 111 Crinigan Road, Morwell VIC

This special event will feature:

Fun Activities · Face Painting · Canvas Making · Deadly Story Activity Books · Free Lunch · SNAICC Show Bags · And more!

This event will be followed by Sports Activities with Latrobe Street Games at St Vincent's Cricket Club from 3 - 5pm. Fresh fruit and water will be provided.

When: 11am - 2pm, Saturday 3rd August, 2019

Where: Melton Community Hall, 238 High Street, Melton VIC

This special event will feature:

Smoking Ceremony · Welcome to Country · Cultural Activities · Melton Auskick · Western Bulldogs Footy Player and Mascot · Melbourne Victory Soccer Clinic · Animal Farm · Children's Day Show Bags · Raffle Prizes · Face Painting · Art & Craft Activities · Jumping Castle · Stalls · FREE BBQ Lunch · And more!

Come celebrate National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children's Day at our Ovens Murray VACCA Children's Day event!

When: 2pm, Sunday 4th August, 2019

Where: Wangaratta Northern Beaches to Apex Park

Join us to wander the Bullawah Cultural Trail with Alwyn Doolan of the Message Stick Walk, local member of Parliament Helen Haines, the beautiful Anita Cooper and ecologist Ian Davidson.

Meeting at 2pm at the Northern beaches behind Galen on the ovens river, access via College street. To walk the trail along the river to Apex park for a golden coin donation sausage sizzle supporting the Message Stick Walk and Dirrawarra group.

Embrace and explore Bpangerang land.

Come celebrate with us at our Eastern VACCA SNAICC Children's Day!

When: 10am - 12pm, Saturday 10th August, 2019

Where: Healesville Sanctuary, Badger Creek Road, Badger Creek, Healesville VIC

This special event will feature:

A traditional Welcome to Country · Smoking Ceremony and Cultural Story with Murrundindi, Wurundjeri, Ngurungeata · Cultural Dances with Djirri Djirri - Wurundjeri Women's Dance Group · Free BBQ Lunch · After our formal event, all registerd families have access to the Healesville Sanctuary until your children's hearts are content · Connect with family, experience Culture and a fun day at the Healesville Sanctuary.
