Help build a brighter future for Aboriginal children

Home > News and Events > Events > Help build a brighter future for Aboriginal children

All children should have the opportunity to grow, learn and play at school with access to the supplies and support they need.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put disadvantaged Aboriginal children and families under even more pressure heading into Term 1. Many children have missed more school and fallen even further behind, and many will not have the school supplies they need to start the school year. Donating to our Education Appeal can make a huge difference to Aboriginal children needing support to stay in school, and help to build them a brighter future.

How your gift helps

Making a donation to our Education Appeal can help provide our most vulnerable kids with a Koorie designed backpack with a lunchbox, drink bottle, stationery set and notebook. We have more than 1,200 vulnerable Aboriginal who will rely on these to start school in Term 1.

Your gift can also provide our struggling families with extra support to start school. This includes; tutoring, running our playgroups and providing additional resources like tips sheets, books and posters for starting school and kinder.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible - a receipt will be automatically emailed to you.
