Staying Strong & Staying Out of Trouble

Home > Our Services > Justice Support > Staying Strong & Staying Out of Trouble

This program aims to keep young Aboriginal people away from further contact with the criminal justice system.

What we offer

Staying Strong & Staying Out of Trouble:

  • Is for young ‘at risk’ people aged 14-24 years from the Latrobe Valley and East Gippsland
  • Includes a series of camps and cultural activities held every six months over three years
  • Encourages and supports the young people to explore their Aboriginal identity and history, form new friendships, join in group activities, link up with local services and meet new challenges.

Young Aboriginal people learn strength in culture and build on skills, relationships and knowledge developed at each enjoyable camp.
