Family Violence Case Management

Our Family Violence Case Management program helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing family violence to meet their goals in keeping themselves and their families safe from harm. 

Who is this program for? 

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.  
• Non-Indigenous people with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander partner or child/children.  
• Aged 18 years and over. 

How it works 

• A first meeting helps us understand the person’s goals and the level of assistance that’s needed. 
• A MARAM Risk Assessment and safety plan is completed by a practitioner to identify what level of support is needed.
• Our dedicated case managers will work in partnership to assist the person to develop a safety plan and identify resources required to achieve this. 
• A structured case plan provides access to critical services, particularly when unsafe living conditions force relocation. 
• Other ways we can provide support include: 
  • flexible support packages 
  • court guidance 
  • material aid 
  • housing advocacy and short-term crisis accommodation.
