Our Koorie Connect program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to improve their wellbeing by supporting with goal attainment, referrals, general advocacy and support to help meet both immediate and future needs.
Who is it for?
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the northern or western metropolitan areas.
- Non-Aboriginal people in the same areas caring for an Aboriginal child.
How it works
- Our program has the flexibility to support Aboriginal people and families experiencing:
- isolation, hardship, disconnection from family, community and culture
- financial difficulties
- relationship and family conflict
- substance misuse
- mental or physical health issues
- education, training and employment.
- The program can provide referrals to other VACCA programs, or programs provided by other services, if required.
