About this journal article:
This article brings together findings from earlier reviews on the cultural determinants of health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It highlights the importance of family and community, Country and place, cultural identity and self-determination in shaping health and wellbeing, and argues that these strengths should be recognised more clearly in policy, programs and research.
