In this commentary, Aunty Muriel Bamblett, VACCA CEO, reflects on the development of Aboriginal Children in Aboriginal Care as a self-determined approach to child protection in Victoria. The article argues for Aboriginal decision-making in the care and protection of Aboriginal children and highlights the courage, leadership and highlights the courage, leadership and reform needed to place authority back in Aboriginal hands.
