The Victorian Government’s Child Safe Standards are a regulatory framework designed to ensure the safety of children and young people in organisations that provide services for them.

VACCA is committed to child safety and the Child Safe Standards.

As the peak voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in Victoria, child safety and the best interests of the child are always at the heart of what we do.

VACCA’s staff, leadership and Board participate in ongoing education and training to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to keep our children and young people safe. We have Child Safety Coordinators across each of our regions and we treat all child safety concerns seriously, responding to each in line with our legislative obligations and ensuring our processes and responses remain child-focused and culturally safe.
