Celebrating our Carers - Foster Care Week 2023

Home > News and Events > Events > Celebrating our Carers - Foster Care Week 2023

Tomorrow marks the end of Foster Care Week, a time when all of us here at VACCA celebrate our deadly carers and spread awareness of the hard work and invaluable contribution of Foster and Kinship Carers in the broader community.

Each year, we take this time to shine a spotlight on all the incredible work our Carers do, helping children and young people in need of a home to grow up safe, strong and connected to culture. Carers, your work does not go unnoticed; we see you around our communities, in our homes and schools, making a real difference in the lives of children who need a safe space to be loved and nurtured. You are valued, you are heard, you are respected, and you are loved – not just this week, but every day of the year

We’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you – thank you for all that you do, thank you for always being there and thank you for all your love and care.

But don’t just take it from us, we have a special video message from VACCA staff we’d like to share with you...
