About therapeutic foster care

Home > Get Involved > Therapeutic Foster Care > About therapeutic foster care

Our therapeutic foster care service is for Aboriginal children with complex needs. Designed by VACCA, the service is culturally informed and supports carers to enhance their skills through access to a therapeutic specialist, additional training and resources, and ongoing coaching and mentorship. You will also have a dedicated case manager with increased capacity to provide individualised support.

VACCA is Rainbow Tick accredited meaning we are committed to ensuring our organisation and services are safe, inclusive and welcoming for LGBTIQA+ staff, young people, carers, families and community. You can find out more on our LGBTIQA+ resources page.

VACCA’s therapeutic foster care service is currently offered in the northern metro area and Gippsland.
