Philanthropy plays an important role in supporting the culturally informed, community-led programs VACCA delivers to over 4,500 clients each year.
Through ongoing partnerships, philanthropy enables VACCA to invest in programs, services and long-term outcomes that are not always fully funded through government — embedding self-determination and creating generational change for young people engaged in our services.
Why support VACCA?
VACCA is Victoria’s peak voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. Our work is led by Aboriginal staff and leadership; grounded in culture and shaped by the voices of community across Victoria.
Philanthropic partners like you help VACCA invest where it matters most, funding programs that would otherwise be unable to operate and ensuring young people in care can stay connected to and draw strength from their culture. Philanthropic support also helps to keep families connected through prevention and early intervention programs informed by community.
Whether you’re an individual, trust or foundation, or a corporate partner; your support ensures that VACCA can continue to deliver essential cultural programs regardless of the ebbs and flows of government funding.
Your support can help to deliver multi-year, proof of concept pilot programs; helping to justify future government funding and ensure the program will help strengthen the cultural identities of children in care for many years to come. Some of our longest relationships are our corporate partnerships, where philanthropy aligns with existing reconciliation action plans and First Nations initiatives.
