This program gives vulnerable Aboriginal children and families support at home to improve their quality of life. It focuses on their strengths and the strengths gained through their culture.
What we offer
This program aims to help families:
- Identify and work on the challenges that make it hard to care for their children
- Build and strengthen their capacity to safely care for their children
- Strengthen their Aboriginality and connection to their community
- Connect to local services.
The program provides:
- A detailed assessment of your family’s needs
- Child and family care planning, referrals, information and advocacy
- Practical assistance
- Cultural strengthening and community connection.
The program’s Aboriginal Liaison Worker makes mainstream family service providers to give Aboriginal families culturally appropriate assistance.
