The Lead Tenant program is for Aboriginal young people aged 15-17 who have been living in Foster Care, Kinship Care and Residential Care.

We aim to create a home environment and supporting young people to transition to semi-independent living. The program is developed around the needs of each individual. Support can also be part of a Targeted Care Package.

What we offer

  • The Aboriginal Lead Tenant is a mature and responsible Aboriginal role model who volunteers to provide you with general guidance, encouragement and support in a culturally safe environment
  • A key worker helps to progress case each individual’s goals and to be prepared for the demands faced by young people leaving care
