Our My Deadly Culture Diary 2020 celebrates deadly science and technology knowledge held by our Mob for thousands of years – and is now available for purchase.
Spanning from climate to astronomy to songlines – we are proud that our new diary provides valuable information to preserve and hand down through future generations.
For example, did you know that Aboriginal people are the world's oldest astronomers? Or that Aboriginal people are likely the first to ever harvest grain and bake bread?
Each month contains details around one of twelve science or technology topics, a beautiful mandala, and significant dates and achievements in Aboriginal history.
The twelve different topics include: Seasons, astronomy, aquaculture, farming and agriculture, cuisine and food storage, firestick farming, housing, songlines, clothing, inventions and tools, knowledge of climate, and caring for Country.
Artwork from Gunditjmara, Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung and Bunitj woman, Nakia Cadd, is featured on the cover and throughout the diary.
