2008 VACCA STATEWIDE CONFERENCE

“The River of Culture Runs Deep - Learning from old ways, creating a new approach”

 

This Conference is an opportunity for all leaders and workers who deliver services to Aboriginal children and families to discuss and learn how culture and self-determination creates a foundation for improving the lives of Aboriginal children for today and tomorrow.

The Aims of the Conference are:

  • To contribute towards development of a cultural competent service system
  • To contribute to a holistic service response to Aboriginal Children & Families
  • To build and maintain strong cultural identity to ensure Aboriginal Children and Families Well being
  • To create a shared understanding of how to strengthen Aboriginal Children and Families amongst key stakeholders
